Has anyone read "Inside Little Britain"

Only reason I ask is because I got it for christmas (I also got there live DVD which is Hilarious), the book is mainly about the tour from what I can gather.
I have only read the first chapter and it is not actually written by Matt Lucas or David Walliams, it is written by a friend/journalist that is close to them.
What I get from the first chapter is that this friend a complete novice writer and it is full of:
Matt said this, David said that, "random celeb" said this and that.
That is all the way through the first chapter and I want to know if anyone who has read it, Does it get better???

As it was a gift I feel I have to read it but I not sure I will enjoy it...
