I watched the clip of the O'hare UFO incident on MSNBC. At the end of the story, the commentator remarks that it was a shame that the UFO had travelled billions of miles only to turn back because the terminal was full (something like that).

This is just another typical example of how the people behind the scenes ridicule the UFO subject.

The point of course is if officials in official positions of power dont take the subject seriously, then why should anyone else.

This is just another attempt in a long series of them to debunk UFO's. I will never forget a news conference years ago in Phoenix, Arizona. The gov of Arizona in a press conference to discuss the lights that appeared over Phoenix made an introduction...the person he introduced was some actor wearing a ridiculous alien costume. The crowd, to include dozens of reporters all laughed over this.

Honestly Im getting sick of the way this subject is being treated.

Very true about the ridicule. Hopefully we will get the last laugh. . .

Well, this is airport style humor. I was thinking almost the exact same thing when I heard it was hovering over a gate at the airport. Something along the lines of “did someone check the boarding gate placard at C-17”, or “were they picking up at that gate”, etc… The news agency is simply parroting a joke made by the ADO (Airport Director of Ops).

No real conspiracy here, simply airport dry humor.

One more thing to consider in this entire episode, is that if ATC allowed a hazard to exist in their airspace, they have to be embarrassed about it. So what are they going to do but poke fun at the next guy in line and call into question United’s history of gate holds…

Crap runs down hill in an airport.
Standard procedure in an airport environment.

You've got to admit, it makes perfect sense for an alien visitor to turn up at a busy airport. It IS where you're supposed to land, right?

They probably took one look at the planes and realized they were a few hundred years too early.

Actually I think you will find that the statistics for UFO ridicule is lower now than ever before in history.

Taking a one-off event and using it just isn't fair now, is it?

We just created the DHS..

something Unknown appeared over one of our most populated airports, and cities...

And the FAA is NOT going to investigate it.

If 12 people thought they saw a terrorist..

They would be on it like white on rice.

I don't think anyone can present any real argument to deny that there are beings of some sort visiting our planet as there have just been to many sightings. But at the same time how can you also conclusively confirm that they do exist?? I don't know of anyone with any concrete evidence with their possesion. I even doubt if the governments round the world really know waht is going on with these aliens. It's similar to trying to prove or disprove the existence of God

too much emphesis in this thread is being placed on a single thrw away punch line by a news reader ,

feor crying out loud

sometimes a punchline ............... is just a puchline

it draws a line under the story segment ... and cues the next one up .... that is all

look @ 20 random news stories , news readers often finish stories with a line of humour [ unless tragedy is being reported - in which case they finish with a line of condonance or such ]

sir trevor mcdonald [ a famous british news reader ] was noted for having a joke in the sign off ... related to the final light hearted story of a broadcast

but getting back to the issue :

i believe that questioning the motives and proceedures of alleged EBEs who [ presumably ] travel vast distances 10s or 100s of light years - then just turn around [ or appear to ] and leacve [ or appear to ] is quite proper

are they infact leaving ?

were they ever here ????????????????

the sexist double entendre of " eats , shoots and leaves " should be updated for aliens

" flies , probes and leaves "
