Cell Phone Update

Can anyone tell me the number that was recently "put out" that one is supposed to dial to "Update" a cell phone?

This is supposed to help the phone communicate with new cell towers or some such thing...

I had it and lost it..

Seems to me like you are looking for the Preferred Roaming List number. You would dial this number to pick an alternate network when you have signal problem with your phone. For example, with Verizon you would dial *228.

We don't know what service provider you're with. Check their web site or give customer support a call, and they will let you know what number to dial.
