Need Free Accounting Software....

Can anyone recommend a good software package for doing invoices and accounting for a small business ?

A friend has a new company in Canada with just 2 employees, they do tile work and bathroom/kitchen renovations. He's looking for something to print up invoices, track clients, general accounting, etc...

Free is the keyword here, so if anyone has any suggestions it would be much appreciated.

Try this suite of software. If you tinker enough with it, I'm sure you can make it do all you want it to do.

Both OO and GNUCash are opensource and completely free.

Half way down are all the Open Source software packages.

The only recommendation I can give is to use Open Office. It's great!

I passed on the software suggestions you made and he's going to give them an evaluation.
I had totally forgot about Open Office, I should have known that one because I use GIMP, Firefox, etc...

So thanks for the reminder Sardion2000, it looks like that may be the one he'll use.
