What letters? I never got anything from the gov about Gulf War Illness.

(BTW it was changed from syndrome to illness a couple of years ago)

I believe that they started two years before my husband retired back in 97 he got about three letters if I am no mistaken.

Today I was very surprise my husband have a copy of his medical records somewhere in his old military stuff, he is very good at keeping his stuff just in case.

Now I am going to dig into the tons of paper stuff he got in the Attic for those records and check to see if they are all in there.

He also told me that he did sign a document in which he was not to disclosure the nature of the injections and pills that he was given during his 18 months in the middle east.

Something that I am very surprised because after all this years this the first time he told me this.

Also he retired in 1998 but he doesn't have his last discharge certificate he was supposed to get it after ten years but now the rules has change and the government can still keep in file for duty.

That is new to me and even surprised him also.

I guess we learn new things everyday.

Now I got to look for those medical records

What branch was he in, cause I'm thinking maybe they didn't send them to the Navy guys cause it's more recent that we started having symptoms, and much later when we realized it was GWI
We were all under the impression for yrs that only the guys on the ground could have GWI. But as we all now know that is not the case.

The last one was received by mail i guess because he was retired already.

He was a Marine.

Thanx Marg, I guess it was just sent to people who were still serving then, or even something more localised....

One of my cousins was deployed with the Navy for Gulf War I (typical Navy ROTC style (GUNNO, VBSS, LEGAL,)) he has (to the best of mine/ his knowledge) no symptoms what so ever, and I am very close with him; but has received 3 or 4 "letters" asking for certain symptoms that developed after varying time frames within his service.

He always answers in the negative, but still odd that they would question a Naval Officer (Lieutenant JG at the time,) for something that seems to most so distant.


Something similar which I am willing to bet you are all interested in.

My Maternal Grandfather was an Intelligence Officer (1LT at the time) for USAF. (In so far as being stationed at Roswell in early 1948, family joke of my mom being an alien human hybrid, she was born in 1951, Roswell NM...don't read to much into it. Her response is that makes me 1/4 Alien )

He was earlier involved in observation of nuclear testing, and became bald in a family of thick hair to the grave. He continually filled out his military FAQ's. My Aunt, his daughter, died of Ovarian Cancer around 1991 (I was roughly 9 years old so I do not remember the exact date.) Despite being Retired the form amount grew exponentially after he reported that.

No, no, in my husband case he took the vaccine an sign disclosure papers for it.

The letters where no about asking him if he had any symptoms but to tell him of the investigation and allegations of people complaining about alleged symptoms.

And to inform him what the government was doing about it.

I have studied biology with the OU, and as a matter of course, you are introduced to diseases, bacterial and viral infections, and seen photos of gangrenous limbs, or such-like in relation to the material you are studying. I have developed a strong stomach, as a result, and have come to be able to watch various medical operations without cringing too much, if I look at it from a laymens terms, but when I look at it from the medical perspective, or scientific perspective (clinically, rather than emotionally) I can watch operations on telly, and believe it or not was able to view the autopsy without so much as a squirm, as part of my study process.

However to see infants in highly mutated conditions would be enough to weaken even the strongest of stomaches. I can't see how anybody can look at those infants and not be affected. I was able to look at them without cringing, but I found it upsetting that they were mutated through depleted uranium.

Some of them looked less than human, bless them, and their sex was hard to determine. There was one poor little dear that had a symbiotic twin coming out of it's mouth. They were so mutated that the poor little dears were probably buried without so much as a name.

Rachel that is an ugly side of reality that no even our own government wants the American people to be exposed to.

That is why they keep in hidden everything they do that will have such devastating results on other human beings.

But still they do what they do because they can.
