Tottenham: Spurs sign striker Edson

PSV Eindhoven have confirmed that striker Edson has completed a move to Tottenham Hotspur, where he will link up with Frank Arnesen, who left Eindhoven at the end of last season to become the new sporting director at White Hart Lane.

Edson, whose full name is Edson Rolando Silva Souza, has never held down a first team place with the Dutch giants and will start afresh in north London.

The youngster, who was not even given a squad number at PSV this season, joins Spurs following a trial last summer.
