Manchester United: Ferguson on Drugs Issue.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has vowed to sack any of his players caught taking drugs.

Ferguson has promised Old Trafford fans that he will not tolerate players taking drugs, be it for social use or to enhance their performance on the field.

Ferguson has stood by defender Rio Ferdinand who has been the centre of a drugs controversy since failing to take a test.

There has been no suggestion that Ferdinand has been taking banned substances but his failure to take an official test is a serious matter and could lead to a ban.
