Manchester City star Robbie Fowler has paid tribute to the club's fans for keeping faith in him.

Fowler is beginning to recapture some of his old form at City after a slow start to his career at Eastlands.

The former Liverpool man has scored three goals in his last five games and he is revelling in the extra responsibility of having the goalscoring burden on his shoulders following the departure of Nicolas Anelka.

Fowler would be dangerous if he recaptured his old form. He was a great striker, but i don't know whats gone wrong.

i preffered fowler to owen when he was at liverpool. at man city though, hes not been as quick and i dunno, he lost something (ehe his goals lol).

i think anelak was the main striker there, and without him hes got the extra responsibilty, and that seems to be bringing the best of him out

Yeah he does seem to be playing better now that Anelka has gone. Once Wright-Phillips get back his form before he was injured i expect him to score a few goals. It will be interesting to see if Pearce is going to be the manager and wether they hold on to Wright-Phillips...

i remember at liverpool, there was fowler up front and mc'bananaman running up the wing non stop.

i can see that happening at city when wright phillips comes back, i think they would work well together

Pearce might just be able to turn it around at City. Keegan just plain run out of ideas and basically took the fighting spirit out of the club. It's as if the players had given up, Keegan was a waste of space and he should have gone sooner. At least Pearce is showing some passion and its started to creep back onto the field, he just has that thing about him. Maybe thats why Fowler is showing some old form as he certainly never did under Keegan.
