Manchester City goalkeeper Nicky Weaver could return before the end of the season after more than a year out. Weaver, 25, has returned to training for
the first time since undergoing knee surgery at the turn of the year - on the back of several false starts.
The former England under-21 international's last first-team appearance was in August 2003.
City boss Kevin Keegan told his club's website: "It is great to see him back out there but he's still some way off."
Weaver had become something of a forgotten man during his injury absence but has begun working with City's goalkeeping coach Tim Flower.
