West Ham United: Hammers interested in Congo?

Reports in Spain claim West Ham are trying to prise striker Edwin Congo from Spanish outfit Levante. The 28-year-old Colombian international is looking to move on after the Valencia-based side's relegation from La Primera. West Ham are hoping to secure Congo on a free transfer with Levante expected to try and slash their wage bill following relegation.

i guess we have discussed west ham needing a striker, and this guy did player for Real at one point, dont think he ever got a game though.

As hes Columbian, i hope he signs if hes entertaining like Asprilla, he was amazing!

Levante got him form Real madrid so he must be quite good.

He's not very good, signed for Madrid in 2001 I think, coming from somewhere unknown, was already an international if you can call playing for Columbia good.

I'd rather not take the chance.

Congo? he is Columbian.

Havn't had the pleasure of seeing him play and i don't think we will, well not in a West Ham shirt.
