Everton will launch a 10million summer raid for Spurs duo Robbie Keane and Simon Davies whether they clinch a Champions League place or not.

David Moyes has transformed the Toffees this season but has seen their lead over arch rivals Liverpool in the race for elite European football trimmed to just one point with seven games remaining. They have lost four of their last five league games and exited the FA Cup after defeat to Manchester United - and many pundits and fans blame the slump in form on the lack of creativity in the team since Thomas Gravesen left to join Real Madrid.

That will test Spurs resolve. Keane has had a few fall-outs lately and Davies has only just come back. Two good players if Everton can get them and it will defenatly improve their side.

It does look like Keane might be off, lots of talks about it. Jol saying that he can't play Keane and Defoe together ect ect... Keane is a great player and it would be a shame if Spurs sold him.

it looks like they are going to get Davies, i wonder if keane is on his way too?

Everton are finally close to landing Simon Davies after agreeing a £4 million fee with Tottenham Hotspur for the midfielder.

David Moyes has been a long-term fan of the Wales international and has repeatedly tried to lure Davies to Goodison Park.

Spurs rejected a bid from Everton during the January transfer window but they have now accepted an offer from their Premiership rivals.

yip. its just a matter of time before its offical

Everton's bid to bring Simon Davies to Goodison Park has edged a step closer after the player underwent a medical.

The talented Tottenham midfielder appears to be on his way to Merseyside after the two clubs concurred on a £4 million fee for his services.

Davies has endured a campaign of frustration courtesy of injury but having returned towards the season's close, again proved his quality.

he has signed!

Everton boss David Moyes has made his first move to build a squad capable of competing in Europe by completing the capture of Simon Davies from Tottenham.

Moyes has been given the green light to open the club's chequebook in the summer, following their successful quest to reach the UEFA Champions League, and the Scot earmarked Davies as a player capable of improving his squad.

Spurs boss Martin Jol concurred on the sale of the Wales international last week and a £3.5 million fee was agreed between the two sides - although it could rise to £4 million depending on appearances

Good signing for them, Davies is a good player. I wonder if they will step it up to sign Keane? I know they will more than likely get Forssell but if they want to make a serious challenge to stay up the top of the table and do well in Europe they will need a bigger squad.

yer, the talk of Keane leaving has quietened down. they want a striker, i think its safe to say that. and with them missing out on Forsell cos they didnt want to gamble, Keane is going to cost more but i think he aint as injury prone.
