Tim Cahill's knee injury is not as bad as first feared - but he still faces a fight to be fit for the clash with Southampton on Saturday week.

Tottenham captain Jamie Redknapp has been charged with serious foul play by the Football Association for his tackle on the Australia international, which forced him off the pitch midway through the second half of his side's bad-tempered 1-0 defeat at Goodison Park.

But head physio Mick Rathbone told the club's official website: "Tim had a series of scans and x-rays and they have come back all-clear in as much that none of the major structures have been affected.

"However, he still has an extremely sore swollen knee and at this moments in time it is too early to say whether he will be fit for our next game."

Bad luck follows this guy around!
