Bill Kenwright has rubbished claims that Everton manager David Moyes will have nearly 30million to spend in the January transfer window.
The stories emerged after the Toffees chairman revealed he was close to striking a deal with the Fortress Sports Fund, headed by financier Christopher
Samuelson.
Kenwright had told BBC Radio Five Live: "Hopefully the money - possible 28million, 29million will be available in January."
But he has since revealed that his comments had been misinterpreted and that the money will not go straight towards funding squad improvements.
