It looks like they might go in for him again as he is still unhappy about being played out of position. They would be mad to let him go, as he's been great so far this season. His contract runs out next year and there has been no deal on the table yet from Chelsea so he could leave for well under 2million which would be a steal...

Seems to me Mourinho won't let Gallas go anywhere. He's the utility back that Mourinho always turn's to. Although Carvalho and Terry dominate the centre, with Bridge out on loan there is little of no coverage for the back four, including Del Horno and Ferreira. Johnson seems to be classed as an outsider at the moment and is being used against lesser sides in some of the cup games. Huth seems to be another not in favour and I would think it'll be Huth that moves first, he can't afford to wait any longer or he'll never play for Germany at international level.

I think you hit the nail on the head with what you said PavingSlab.

Other than Terry, i would say Gallas is the best defender they have, he has soo much to his game, like yuo say, hes the utility man.

I remember last season he was unhappy about playing left back, this season since Ferieria seems to have been dumped recently hes been at right back. So if hes still unhappy he must prefer the centre and well.... i cant imagine Terry getting dumped, no chance and with Carvalho, Mourinho likes him although hes a bit of a cheat IMO. Not sure if that will cost him a place in the team at some point.

If a bid of 2 can get him, i expect way more teams than just Juve going for him

Mourinho has said lately that no players are going anywhere, then Bridge goes out on loan. But you could understand that as he hasn't played in such a long while. I don't uderstand Gallas, where could he go that offers trophies like Chelsea do at the moment?

Both of you give realistic assessments, and the truth is, Mourinho will use him anywhere in the backline. Bridge is apethetic, not a Premiership footballer, not for Chelsea at least. Same for Johnson. So who else covers 4 positions.....Gallas. AND he will get medals where he is.

Gallas should actually be pleased, proud and flattered that Mourinho holds him in such a high reguard that he can play him in alot of various positions. To be part of a team like Chelsea at the moment would be on every players christmas list and they would die to get a chance to be a part of it. Is football getting that bad that players can dictate where they want to play or they will leave?
