Chelsea could be set to join PSV Eindhoven and Paris Saint Germain in the race to land former Arsenal trialists Marco Ne and Emanuel Eboue.
The pair - currently at Belgian club Beveren - already have experience of English football having spent time on trial at Arsenal during the summer.
Both players come from the Ivory Coast and impressed the North London club in a pre-season friendly for the Gunners against Conference outfit
Barnet.
However, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger elected not to pursue a deal but did confirm he would be keeping an eye on them.
However, it now appears that Chelsea are ready to steal a march on their London rivals - with representatives from Stamford Bridge poised to watch the
duo in European action on Thursday.
The Belgian club face Levski Sofia in the Uefa Cup and it is expected Chelsea's scouts will take their place in the stand alongside those from PSV and
Paris Saint German.
