Charlton Athletic: Charlton want 4 signings

Charlton Athletic chairman Richard Murray hopes to make four more signings this summer but Scott Parker is unlikely to be one of them.

The Addicks wrapped up the signing of Darren Bent from Ipswich Town on Wednesday and are determined to strengthen their squad after a disappointing end to the campaign.

Former midfield star Parker looks set to leave Chelsea with a host of clubs keen on his services but Murray says Charlton will only be in the frame if it is a loan deal that is being discussed.

I can't see them signing any real high profile players. Bent is a good signing but he has to prove himself yet.

It looks like two targets could be Damien Francis and Smicer...

i dunno about one of the guys you say, but smicer, he half decent and he could be an alrite player. never going to be amazing though, if he was liverpool would not be selling him

He has definatly proved himself, the guy has been in awesome form. He scored again today i think.

Charlton have really got it together at the start of the season, they key will be to keep it going. I'm not sure how strong the squad is, but a few key injuries could knock them back.

yip. bent is on top form.

i think hes the top scorer in the league too, they are high up the league but i think we said, Curbishley did bring in a fair ammount of players this summer and cos of that, you would expect them to be aiming that little bit higher. And so far it looks like its working!
