Bolton Wanderers: Bolton clearout

Bolton boss Sam Allardyce has cleared his squad of those on the periphery of first team action by releasing eight players.

Anthony Barness, Julio Cesar, Charlie Comyn-Platt, Fernando Hierro (retired), Florent Laville, Kevin Poole, Ricky Shakes and Jason Talbot have all been released as the Wanderers chief culls his ranks.

With Bolton preparing for participation in next season's Uefa Cup, Allardyce has been keen to offload several of his second string as he looks to bring in a few fresh faces of his own.

what happened to the brazil guy, julio cesar? did he just never adapt and prove himself? heirro retiring was expected and it looks like laville's injury has finished him, he was good aswell even thuogh he was really slow.

looking at the list, i count it 4 defenders leaving so surely he will move for at least 1 in the summer
