Bolton Wanderers' veteran striker Les Ferdinand says he has yet to decide whether to continue playing beyond the end of the current campaign. The 37-year-old had looked set to call time on his career last summer, before accepting a 12-month deal with the Trotters to continue in the game. Ahead of the clash with one of his former sides, Spurs, the former England international said: "I thought last season was going to be my final one and here I am still talking about it.

"What I will do is wait until the end of the season and see how I am feeling. I will see if someone wants to offer me a job and go from there.

"I enjoy what I do. I have been very fortunate for most of my career and long may that continue."

Of a possible move into management, he added: "I have worked under some very good managers and it is something that has crossed my mind.

"I will do my coaching badges - I haven't done them yet and we will see what happens after that.

"Mind you a lot of managers I have worked with have got grey hair or are out of jobs at the moment."

Ferdinand has scored 186 league goals in 429 games during an illustrious career that has also seen him win 17 England caps.

Don't think he has had that many chances at Bolton. He should have stayed at West Ham but then again we wouldn't have got Sheringham...
