Bolton Wanderers: Jardel leaves

Brazilian striker Mario Jardel has left Bolton after agreeing a deal with Argentine side Newell's Old Boys.

The former Sporting Lisbon and Galatasaray player failed to make an impression at the Reebok stadium after joining the club last summer.

He was loaned out to Ancona towards the end of last season and has now been allowed to leave on a free transfer.

He managed just three goals, all in the Carling Cup, and did not make a single Premiership start for Bolton.

Its a shame with Jardel, i remember a few seasons back he was a goal machine but now he aint the player he once was, it would be good if he got a good season and started banging them in again.

although bolton have punted him it will be interesting to see how les ferdinand and micheal bridges do, i think Big Sam is good at getting the best out of players so i expect them be good additions the squad

They got off to a good start today without him as they thumped Charlton who were pre-match favourites. They will be a surprise package this season.
