Blackburn Rovers: Mark Hughes must Budget - No Cash !!

Mark Hughes has been warned that Blackburn are no longer the bottomless pit of cash that they were a decade ago - but the new Rovers manager will have some money to spend when the transfer window reopens in January.

When Blackburn's benefactor Jack Walker was alive the club could afford any number of big-money transfers but the purse strings are now drawn much tighter.

Hughes has already indicated his desire to bring in his own players and some cash will be made available to the Welshman - but it is understood if he wants to spend more than 2million or so then he will have to sell first.

Bad luck for Hughes, getting to a club when the money has run dry.

They do seem to have wasted alot of cash on some real shyte players though..

hughes will have a tough job on his hands, and the players he got, i dont know if there is any there with huge value, having already lost duff last season along with dunn, they where the guys who could get them money on transfer sales

althugh, he got till january till he can buy, and bye then, he will know who he wants and who can go

Sparky will attract a few decent players but with a limited budget it's going to be hard to get some real quality. They do have some decent players still at the club, he just needs to get the best out of them.

Blackburn have completed the signing of Youri Djorkaeff on a short-term deal.

As revealed on skysports.com, Rovers came in for the former France international after a move to Fulham fell through.

I know he is 36 but his fitness levels are amazing. Looks like Fulham missed out on him after all...

i think hughes will get good players, after all, he is a well respected person and was great footballer, so players should want to play for him
