Blackburn Rovers: Rovers to swoop for Liverpool's Finnan

Blackburn Rovers have lined up a swoop for Liverpool's Republic of Ireland international defender Steve Finnan.

Rovers are understood to have opened talks on a 2 million deal despite the player only having arrived at Anfield last summer for double that figure.

Finnan struggled to establish himself on Merseyside last term due to injury and lack of form and managed only 18 league appearances.
