Notts County have signed Aston Villa goalkeeper Wayne Henderson on a three-month loan.

Henderson has yet to make the breakthrough at Villa Park and is being allowed to link up with The Magpies to accrue further experience.

The 20-year-old undertook loan spells at Tamworth and Wycombe Wanderers last season and will now enjoy a longer stint at Meadow Lane.

Villa boss David O'Leary is happy to allow the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international to leave on a temporary basis as he has sufficient cover in the goalkeeping department.
