According to some reports filtering through, Henry has reached a verbal agreement to join barcelona next season in July. Nothing is official and Henry will continue to negotiate a contract extension at Arsenal but for how long is anyones guess.

i was saying the other day to a guy, thats Larsson supposed to be going for a free, and Maxi Lopez is supposed to be getting the chop

2 strikers out the door leaves Etoo, you dont have 1 striker in your team so they must have a plan.

With some signings Wenger has made, i wouldn't be surprised if he stays. But he is ambitious and i'm not sure how long he would wait for. Arsenal have a pretty good crop of young players and it might take awhile for them to gel into something decent.

with the way Arsenal are going too,

If he wants to win things, hes going to be waiting quite a while to win anything of importance

At the minute, itsl ike to many teams know how to play against Arsenal now. Maybe thats why he switched formation

After last nights game, Henry didn't look too happy. Campbell didn't make it back down the tunnel for the second half and Wenger was quoted as saying that he wasn't mentally right. Oh really, you mean he played crap and doesn't look the force he once was? Is this the downfull of Arsenal and Wenger, is he starting to lose the plot as the stakes are so high and they can't compete with the like of Chelsea? I think now as Henry still wont sign a deal that is on the table that he will be gone. He wants the big stage and the way Arsenal are going they won't be able to provide it.

Seems the rumours persist, I found this in SkySports this a.m.

'Former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira believes Thierry Henry could leave Highbury this summer.'

Every Arsenal fan must be dreading the talk of him leaving.

Just look how bad the sale of Vieria hurt them, and if Henry left. Your saying bye to 20-25 goals a season and loads of assists. If Wenger goes to replace him with a quality signing, Chelsea will go hey... we cant let this guy slip through our fingers

agree with you completely, it would be the final cut, Arsenal would take years to recover

He's also hit 19 goals in 24 outings with Van Persie next on 10 (17) and then it all falls apart. Nobody else in the team has put together double digits, it really would be a calamity for Arsenal but Henry has to think about his future. He's 30 next year, and he's into his last few years of real earnings.

i never realised he was as old as that, and i think as hes a player that tottaly relies on pace, hes maybe got 3/4 more seasons. I dont see him wanting to play on until mid 30's even.

I think hes been a loyal player, and for that reason, i think he will stay to see the new stadium and be there for that. But when you think loyal, Vieria left and i thought the same back then, he would stay to see it. Cole is off too next season i would imagine. Campbell is bonkers.

My prediction is he will stay, but next season is his last

Plus... Barcelona are the club i think he will go too. But at the minute, Etoo is on top form, and they play just the one striker really with very ataccking midfield players. At some point, Chelsea will move for him

Think of this.... Crespo back to Milan. Etoo to Chelsea. Henry to Barcelona ( i think that could be the way it happens as Crespo is supposed to want to go back to Italy)

There was talk of Eto'o moving to Chelsea a while back and he got seriously upset over the whole idea. I doubt he'll ever end up there. I don't honestly think Crespo is long term either, he's made too much noise to be happy, and Milan would take him in an instant.
Barcelon with Eto'o, Henry and Ronaldinho in the same side would be scary, very very scary

If Barcelona make a move for Henry, do you think they will use Guily as bait? i think Wenger would like him in his team. Hes fast, direct and French

I think Wenger would cut off his left leg rather than lose Henry, but if Henry doesn't sign the contract.....Rijkaard may have a few tempting offers if that becomes the case

If they lose henry, it would be such a blow. But they are doing well in the Champs league and starting to pick it up in the league. I think he might end up staying, especially now alot of the other players are starting to find form.

If he does go they could always sign Van Horse who could be on his way out of Man U...
