hehe.. i'l try help you out.

When Hleb was at Stuggart he was pretty much in midfield, getting an attacking role. I think hes favoured out to the right, but can also play in the centre. And i think he can play at right back too.

But i dont think hes featured too much at Arsenal yet, and with them having Pires out on the right, i think he will have to wait his turn

In the pre-season games he was playing in Patrick Viera's position. In his first game for Arsenal in a friendly before the season started he scored the first goal against Barnet..

But in the first few games of the Premier League that he has come on as substitue he has played on the left. Against Chelsea, Fulham and Middlesborough in the league he started the games and played on the left aswell.

So it looks to me like his position is left midfield for the moment at Arsenal with Pires playing in the hole or in the middle...

Wenger made only one change from the team that had squeezed past Newcastle on the opening weekend of the season. Dennis Bergkamp dropped the bench and Alexander Hleb stepped up to make his first competitive start for the Club. The Belarus international slotted in on the left side of midfield and Pires stepped into the hole the Dutchman usually occupies.

A few minutes later Wenger brought on Hleb and Van Persie for Bergkamp and Fabregas. Dutchman replaced Dutchman up front and the Belarusian slotted in on the left with Pires joining Gilberto in midfield. Arsenal would play out this game with a surfeit of skill in midfield.

hehe... with what you posted TRD, i was sorta right lol. getting games in midfield and getting a bit of an attacking role.

I think one of the things with the guy is hes supposed to be versatile, am sure when Rangers played them last season or the season before, meaning Stuggart he was out on the right

Hey, who do you support Tombstoner? i thought you where a spurs fan

I am absolutely disgusted with a quote I heard from Florentine Perez the Real Madrid president, saying that he just waited for big Arsene to make a move for a player in the transfer window then moved in himself to swoop the player Arsenal were after!!! He claimed that "Arsene doesn't make mistakes", and that's how he justified it! We should have signed two world class Brazilians this summer but Real came in at the last minute and signed them from under our noses!! I can understand Robinho had already expressed his desire to play for Real and team up with former coach Wanderlei Luxemburgo, but Real had shown no interest whatsoever in 'The Beast' Baptista until we were on the brink of signing him!!! Now they are reportedly going to sign Lauren as well once his contarct expires!!

I feel that if we don't sign some top, top players in the next transfer window, Henry and Lauren will leave for sure. Henry can apparently leave for £3million next summer if he doesn't renew his current deal, with Barcelona playing the vultures hanging around waiting to scoop up the bargain of the century should the opportunity arise. That would not only be a disaster for the team but would no doubt be a financial disaster! I mean only making £3mil for the best striker in the world? Not good at all!!

Anyone offer any comforting words I am almost in tears at the current situation at our club.

I hear ya, i'm a West Ham supporter but i feel for you. Our team was ripped apart and although we are doing great first time back in the Prem, it might not last for long.

I thought Baptista was on his way to you and couldn't believe he went to Real. As for Robinho, Real signed him about 6 months ago, well near as dammit.

3 million? you have to be joking. I can't see him leaving but you will have to sign some players. You have alot of young talent but they are still raw around the edges and Big Sol back in the side will definatly help. There has been alot of talks of your players leaving.. Pires, Cole ect but they are all still there..

in a way aint that a compliment to your manager?

and yip, with Robinho there was more than just Real showing interest but when Baptista name came up, they just signed him for the sake of buying him it seems. Though being fair to real, he did have a cracking season last year

it will be intersteing to see what happens with Henry, now that Vieria has left i aint as confident about Henry but i reckon Lauren will stay

Yeah Henry apparently wasn't too impressed that we let Vieira leave and ever since then there has been increasing speculation about Henry's future. I think if we had signed Owen he may have felt a bit more settled now. According to the new FIFA rules, next season Barcelona can just pay Arsenal the remaining value of his contract which will only be 3million pounds and sign him!!

Ah well fingers crossed we have a good season, sign a couple of big names and King Henry will decide to stay. By the way anyone have any news on Wenger's potential transfer targets? I read he was keen on signing the French midfielder Mavuba. He's only 20 and already in the French national team and has been compared with Jean Tigana. However Mavuba has said that Real Madrid, Juventus and Arsenal are his dream teams to play for so I hope the news of signing Papa Diop from Fulham is just Arsene Wneger throwing off Mr Perez of Real and others so he can make a swoop for Mavuba himself without Real Madrid signing him for the sake of it as well.
