Arsenal: Edu admits tunnel ruckas

Arsenal midfielder Edu has admitted that some of his team-mates clashed with Manchester United players in the tunnel after last weekend's fiery encounter at Old Trafford.


The game saw United end the Gunners' 49-game unbeaten Premiership run and turned on a controversial penalty, which Ruud van Nistelrooy netted 17 minutes from time before Wayne Rooney wrapped up a 2-0 victory in stoppage-time.

Since the game the papers have been full of tales about a fracas in the tunnel during which United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was reported to have had soup and pizza thrown at him by an Arsenal player.

The Football Association are investigating what happened, but both Ferguson and his Arsenal counterpart Arsene Wenger have declined to comment.
