Portsmouth have been hit by the news that in-form striker Diomansy Kamara will be out of action for six weeks with a knee injury.
The club's record signing was caught by Paul Scholes on Saturday and was unable to continue as Pompey eased past The Red Devils 2-0.
The timing of the injury is a concern for manager Harry Redknapp as the striker had netted three goals in his last five games.
The good news for the South Coast side is that Kamara is not thought to require a knee operation, but he will need at least a month on the sidelines
to recover.
It is hoped Kamara could be back in action in time for Pomey's clash against West Brom in December, however their game against Newcastle a week later
could be a more realistic date.
