Middlesbrough defender Stuart Parnaby is unlikely to play again until late January after breaking a leg in training.
He is expected to be sidelined for three months with the injury which was sustained prior to Wednesday's match against Egaleo but which has only been
diagnosed as a break since the team's return to England.
The devastating news for the 21-year-old right-back comes just as he has broken into the first team, impressing as stand-in for injured French
full-back Frank Queudrue.
Parnaby had adapted well to playing on the left of defence, Queudrue's position, and has been hailed as one of the club's brightest emerging
talents.
X-rays showed that Parnaby broke his fibula in Greece, and his absence further reduces boss Steve McClaren's defensive options.
