European: Xavi pens new deal

Barcelona midfielder Xavi has agreed terms on a new contract with the Catalan giants.

The Spain international has just arrived in the Far East with his team-mates for a two-game tour of Japan.

Chelsea were linked with Xavi earlier in the season and Barca have moved to kill off speculation regarding his future.

a very good signing for Barcelona,

he is a really good playmaker and can control games, he has skill. Chelsea would have done well to get him.

I expect big things from Barcelona next season, i think they will be even stronger than last season.

He would never ask for a move and I don't think the club would sell, he has been there man and boy. He does such a good job for the team.

Whats happened to him, i aint seen him play in a long long time.

Am guessing hes picked up a really bad injury

But like, i aint seen him this season, and dont recall him from the season before
