It would be a good Idea, if the US Govt decides to re-employ disbanded Iraqi Soldiers

This will help reduce the strength of Iraqi Insurgents by approx 500,000

Re-employing disbanded Iraqi troops will help US Govt combat Insurgency. After all, it is not the fault of Iraqi soldiers, if their Boss was Saddam HUssein

Think about it

I think they have done this to some extent....But the question will remain, How loyal will these troops be?

well, that was the what Jay Garner recenty said.
www.usatoday.com...

And, today there was that story about the US forming a militia made up of Iraqis. A good move. They should be fighting these insurgants themselves, otherwise the gift of freedom we've given them will be a cheap one. Its ultimately their country. Eventually they will have to step up because I dont see the US doing this for very long with the way things have been going on.

Er, that depends. Who are they supposed to be loyal to? I imagine they will be loyal to the people of Iraq and their government, which is the whole point.

they should be loyal to themselves and their own people. They don't owe America alot. They should stand up and make sure that their country is being handed back into Iraq's hand and not the USA's

Dear friends,

With due respect to General Garner, I had the same brain wave on IRAQ before his suggestion was published on USTODAY.com:

This does not mean any disrespect to General Garner but sincve you mentioned my brainwave & General Garner's brainwave being similar!! (just Kidding)

Subject: [USA] suggested Strategy Revision for Iraq

I will like to recommend that the US Govt re-employs
500,000 Iraqi Army people it has disbanded.

These Five Hundred thousand soldiers of Ex-Iraq regime
should be given their jobs if they pledge loyalty to
the new Govt.

I feel, as hindsight reveals, All Iraqi soldiers &
Police & Administrators disbanded by US Govt should be
again re-instated.

This will help soften Iraqi hatred of US Govt & help
USA bring PEACE & stability in Iraq..as the current
Iraqi insurgents should be disbanded Iraqi troops. Get
them back to combat terrorism.

Further, it will help US Govt to combat terrorism,
after all it is not the fault of the Iraqi soldiers if
their boss was Saddam Hussein.

Think about it
