The future of German club Kaiserslautern hangs in the balance once again after they reported losses of 6.9million euros for the last financial
year.
Although the figure is less than was widely anticipated, it is still enough to cast a dark cloud over a side which has been struggling to maintain its
existence both on and off the field for a number of years.
A series of relegation battles have so far been successful, but the club has again found itself in the lower reaches of the Bundesliga this season.
President Rene Jaggi has introduced a series of budget cuts over the last few seasons, but reducing costs alone is not enough.
