Andy Johnson believes that his goals can keep Crystal Palace in The Premiership.

Johnson is the leading English goalscorer in the top flight this season, with 14 goals to his name so far this term.

The 23-year-old is just two behind Thierry Henry, and his continued scoring displays have led to increased calls for him to get an England chance.

Johnson says that if he can keep on banging in the goals, it could be enough to keep Palace up this season.

Andy Johnson has conceded that he might not be at Crystal Palace next season if they are relegated.

With Palace hovering over the drop zone, speculation has linked the prolific marksman with a move away from Selhurst Park.

Johnson has proven a revelation in his debut campaign in the top flight, trailing only Thierry Henry in the goalscoring charts.

He signed a new deal didn't he? Teams will be expected to come up with some massive bids for him then if they did go down and he decides to leave.

It will be a shame if he leaves, he has achieved so much in the last year or so for Palace. His goals have been so important so far and they just need that bit extra for him in the last few games..

it would be a shame if they go down and he leaves, he is like a man on a mission.

if they stay up, i think there will be intrest, and if they go down for sure teams will come calling.

if worst comes to worst and they go down, how much to prize him away?

I can see him going to Liverpool, would really suit their play and he can score goals anywhere.

He could end up at Liverpool, but i think that even if Palace do manage to stay up, a big bid will come in for him and he will be off.

yer, i think liverpool would suit him, one thing about that, can you see him linking well with either baros or morienties? and with Cisse coming back, what will he think?

do you think if a bid came in for say, 5 million? is it a case of we are selling you to get the money or will palace aim to keep hold of him?

I think they would take £5m, that would be enough to buy some decent players to get promoted again.

As for Liverpool, I can't see Baros staying, I think Rafa will sell him in the summer and Cisse/AJ could link up well with Morientes once he is fit.

i thought the other night, baros looked like liverpools best striker. do you think barca will come in for him?

Baros couldn't hit the side of a barn, he needs too many chances to score, his work rate and pace are good but he runs into a lot of trouble because he always has his head down. I think he could be a top player, his movement during the Euro's was fantastic but he needs a manager with real confidence in him and a good link up man to play alongside.

hes staying the chairman says

Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has again insisted he will not sell striker Andrew Johnson.

Palace have already turned down a bid from Tottenham for the 24-year-old England international, who scored 21 goals in the Premiership last season.

And Jordan told Sky: "Andrew Johnson is a fantastic player - he is our player.

He said on Sunday that he wants to stay, this is getting boring!

To be honest there hasn't been any concrete offer for him by any club yet, only the Spurs one and if i remember that was pretty low. Maybe the price what Palace are asking is putting people off...

The whole thing is getting boring though!
I don't want to read about it in the papers anymore, just sell him or issue a statement saying he is not going, stop the player from talking to the press and that's the end of it.

I know this is how it works but it's just space fitting.

Yea, it does get boring. Just sell him and stop touting him for the best price. If he has any ambition he will leave, there is no loyalty no more and he doesn't owe Palace anything.

He has turned his game around at Palace and that is partly down to the coaching staff but if he wants to stay in the England squad then he has to leave.
