Coca-Cola Divisions: Saints target Martin Djetou and Mido

Harry Redknapp has confirmed that Martin Djetou is on trial at the club, while Mido could be another target.

The new Southampton boss is looking to bolster his squad after a poor start to his reign, and Frenchman Djetou fits the bill.

The former Fulham man was released by Parma and is now on the South Coast looking for a Premiership return.

Redknapp says that he could well earn a deal at St Mary's if he can prove his fitness.

Former Barcelona stopper Philippe Christanval is thought to be another target for Redknapp - as is Egyptian marksman Mido.

Fulham are keen on the Roma striker but Redknapp is now in the race for the 22-year-old, as he believes James Beattie could be off in January.

Chris Coleman now faces a fight to land the former Ajax man, who would cost around 2.5 million.
