Birmingham City defender Martin Grainger has called time on his playing career after conceding defeat to a knee injury.
The 32-year-old ripped his patella tendon in Blues' 2-1 home defeat to Manchester United back in April earlier this year.
Grainger had been trying to recover from the injury, however things have not gone to plan and he has now decided to retire from football.
The Enfield-born defender began his career with Colchester before going on to play for Brentford and he also had a loan spell with Coventry during his
time at St Andrews.
