Birmingham City midfielder Robbie Savage has warned his team-mates that they must start winning soon if they are to avoid being drawn into a
relegation battle. The Blues have just one Premiership win to their name this term and Savage believes they must break that trend soon if they are to
have any hope of challenging for a European place.
"This coming month or so could dictate our season," said the Welshman.
"The next four or five games will see if we are fighting relegation or are in a comfortable position to look up the table.
"With the players we've brought in, we should be doing the latter. But if we don't start winning soon we could be looking at a tricky situation. If we
keep drawing, we could be looking over our shoulder.
We have been fortunate in that when we haven't been winning, the teams below us have been losing or drawing otherwise we could have been in a lot
worse position.
"In our last two home games we deserved to beat Newcastle and Manchester United. No-one could have argued if we had done that but we've got to win
games.
"It is easy to get up for the big games like Newcastle and Manchester United but every game from now to the end of the season is massive if we are
going to do something."
City face fellow strugglers Crystal Palace on Saturday and will take on lowly Blackburn Rovers and Norwich City during November, together with in-form
Merseyside duo Liverpool and Everton.
