Birmingham City manager Steve Bruce has offered a trial to Finland Under-21 international striker Njazi Kuqi.
Bruce is keen to see the 21-year-old in action before deciding whether to make an offer, but is waiting to discover if FC Lahti will allow him to
travel to England for the trial.
"He's a young player who we've been tracking for the best part of three months," he told the club's official website.
"We hope to have a conversation with his club in the next 24 hours to see if he can come over for a week or ten days.
"He's young and the Under-21 player of the year and he's someone we're looking at for the future."
Kuqi, younger brother of Ipswich Town striker Shefki Kuqi, is also reported to be a target for Manchester City.
