Coca-Cola Divisions: Palace tracking Frode Johnsen

Crystal Palace are tracking Norway international Frode Johnsen but face a tough task to persuade Rosenborg to sell the striker.

Johnsen has emerged as a transfer target for the Premiership new boys and Eagles manager Iain Dowie watched the 30-year-old in action over the weekend.

Dowie was in attendance for Rosenborg's 4-1 victory over Lillestrom and Johnsen is likely to have impressed the Palace chief in scoring a goal.

Johnsen is aware of Palace's interest in his services but concedes Rosenborg are unlikely to sanction his departure.
