Brentford boss Martin Allen has confirmed the club are planning an audacious swoop for Charlton forward Paolo Di Canio. Di Canio's future at Charlton
is up in the air as he is having talks over his future at The Valley. The Italian's one-year deal expires in the summer and as yet no agreement over
an extension has been resolved. Allen is now hoping to capitalise on the uncertainty by offering the former Celtic and West Ham star the chance to
move to Griffin Park. It remains to be seen whether or not Di Canio will get a new deal at Charlton, but it is highly unlikely that the Italian would
consider a move to Division Two with Brentford.
