Substitute Lee Fowler hit the decisive penalty to take Huddersfield Town back into the Second Division at the first attempt. The Terriers prevailed
4-1 in a shootout after a goalless draw in Monday's Nationwide Three play-off final against Mansfield Town at the Millennium Stadium. Fowler joined
Rob Edwards, Danny Schofield, and Tony Carss in scoring from the spot. Meanwhile goalkeeper Paul Rachubka saved from Wayne Corden and Liam Lawrence
hit the crossbar for the Stags. Mansfield had twice come close to winning the match at the end of normal time but Huddersfield could have wrapped up
victory far sooner but for Andy Booth missing a hat-trick of chances.
