Coca-Cola Divisions: Palace take the lead in playoffs

Crystal Palace have the upper hand over Sunderland in the Premiership chase after Andy Johnson's late goal gave them a 3-2 first-leg win in the First Division play-off semi-final.

After a lively first half in which Iain Dowie's hosts dominated proceedings, the game burst into life after the break with five goals.

West Ham played pretty crap and need to be much better at home if they want to make the playoff final. Ipswich seemed to want it more on the day.

Palace has done fantastic since Dowie took over, wasn't they at the bottom? Now they are in prime position to make the final.
