Boxing: Lacy v Calzaghe talks begin again

By Ant Evans: Talks have begun once again for the much maligned WBO super-middleweight champ Joe Calzaghe to face IBF title-holder Jeff Lacy, most likely in November or December in the UK.

Calzaghe's promoter, Frank Warren, made the American and his team an offer four months time but it was not to the IBF champion's liking. However, US cable bankrollers Showtime are very keen on the fight and are willing the fight to be made.

Lacy's promoter Gary Shaw told SecondsOut in February that he believed his unbeaten 2000 Olympian would be ready for Calzaghe, the division No.1, by the end of the year and said he believes 'Left Hook' is really coming in to his prime now.
