In the blink of an eye, a fight that undisputed welterweight champ Cory Spinks seemed to have safely tucked in his back pocket changed with the speed of one punch from Zab Judah.
Judah, down in the 11th round and behind on the cards, nailed Spinks in the 12th with a left hand that dropped him for the first time in his career. A badly hurt Spinks (34-2, 11 KOs) struggled to his feet, barely survived the final 25 seconds and won a decision.
Since that April 10 fight in Las Vegas, Judah (32-2, 23 KOs) has campaigned for a rematch because he came so close to taking the title.
