Boxing: WOODS WINS AFTER EARLY SETBACK

Clinton Woods showed signs of some early rustiness as he had to recover from a first round knockdown to defeat Jason DeLisle.

The Sheffield-born boxer managed to record a win in his first fight for eight months as he stopped the Australian in the final round of a bout that decided who would be the No.2 contender for the IBF light-heavyweight crown.

However it had been anything but easy for Woods who found himself on the canvas in the very first round as an excellent jab from DeLisle caught the Brit cold.
