It seems to me that there is an intense battle between those seeking to rule with fascist, "1984"type control and those seeking to rule thru the "Brave New World", demoralization approach.

The current administration is definitely adhering to the fascist, conformist philosophy. They are trying to dictate the thoughts and beliefs of those under their control. They are using war and the threat of terrorism to usurp our power and steal our rights. They prey on the hatred and fears of the "far right-wing" stereotype. They preach intolerance for those who seek equality for themselves and others. They claim that "they" will destroy our families and corrupt our children with their "commie" agenda. They are preparing for the time when they can incarcerate the majority of rebels and undesirables in prison camps. They use fear, religion and confusion to fuel their drive toward a fascist country. They want everyone that fits their opinion of the ideal human to conform to and support their regime. Anyone else who doesn't share the "correct" belief in God, government, etc. can just be separated and used as the work force to support the "superior" class.

These are the 7 conditions (Warning signs)
that foster & fuel fascism:

Instability of capitalist relationships or markets

The existence of considerable declassed social elements

The stripping of rights and wealth focused upon a specific segment of the population, specifically the middle class and intellectuals within urban areas as this the group with the means, intelligence and ability to stop fascism if given the opportunity.

Discontent among the rural lower middle class (clerks, secretaries, white collar labor). Consistent discontent among the general middle and lower middle classes against the oppressing upper-classes (haves vs have-nots).

Hate: Pronounced, perpetuated and accepted public disdain of a specific group defined by race, origin, theology or association.

Greed: The motivator of fascism, which is generally associated with land, space or scarce resources in the possession of those being oppressed.

Organized Propaganda:

a) The creation of social mythology that venerates (creates saints of) one element of society while concurrently vilifying (dehumanizing) another element of the population through misinformation, misdirection and the obscuring of factual matter through removal, destruction or social humiliation, (name-calling, false accusations, belittling and threats).

b) The squelching of public debate not agreeing with the popular agenda via slander, libel, threats, theft, destruction, historical revisionism and social humiliation. Journalists in particular are terrorized if they attempt to publish stories contrary to the agenda.

Any of this sound familiar?

Then on the other hand we have the slippery slope of "Brave New World" approach. They are trying to seduce the masses into a state of oblivion, so that they don't notice or care that they have lost their freedoms. This is what the Prozac/Ritalin craze is leading towards. They take the fascist ideal's faults and use them to garner support for the idea that families, monogamy, and faith in a superior being are unnecessary and even, dangerous. They prey on the "left-wing" stereotype who hate the prejudice and superioristic nature of fascists, by appealing to their desire for equality. They convince people that ANY observance of traditions or lifestyles that celebrate our individuality, will lead to inequalities and oppression. They tell us that the only things that matter are our own pleasure and comfort. They knead us into lazy, fat, docile cows. There was a Roman satirist called Juvenal who watched the decline of the empire. He said, "Now that no one buys our votes, the public has long since cast off its cares; the people that once bestowed commands, consulships, legions and all else, now meddles no more and longs eagerly for just two things -- bread and circuses."

I am trying to ascertain whether or not these two sides are really working against each other or if they are playing "good cop/bad cop" with the followers on both sides in order to bring them all under a central governing power. Both sides support the loss of individualistic thinking, and a centralization of the government. The only real difference is the means by which the people are manipulated by the government in order for them to gain control.
Do you think that this is all just an attempt to manipulate the psyche of the American public? Are they trying to make us think that by choosing one side or another we are fighting against the NWO agenda, when really both sides are supporting the SAME agenda? Or are there really 2 separate powers fighting for control and domination of each other?

You must read "Generations: The History of America's Future."By Neil Howe and William Strauss Amazon link For your topic, it's a fascinating look at your topic from the analysis of a historian and social anthropologist. They have mapped out a pattern of four primary generational personalities that cycle through time, since the late 1700's. And it's the personalities of these generations that influence world and political events. Your excellent post is a "linear" analysis with more focus on direct cause-and-effect. This book will help you realize a different pattern that has been dictating our history. If you've read the "Foundation Trilogy" from Isaac Asimov, this book comes as close as anything I've seen to Harry Seldon's PsychoHistory. Interesting times ahead. I think that the current battle shapes up like this:

NWO vs OWO vs everyone else.

The real question is this;

is there a rumoured trojan horse in the NWO?

cause as hard as I look at the OWO and their left leaning socialistic ways I do not see the glint of humanity I am looking for.

everyone else is well, all those that haven't got a frickin' clue.

so couldn't it be possible that there might be 2 governing bodies over the entire world ?

I know that I really don't know what I'm talking about here, being new and all, but if there are two orgs trying to take over, who's to say that it couldn't happen that way ?

Possible,

but people don't like sharing power usually.

don't the spoils go to the victors?

okay just had this though...

Since people usually don't like sharing power...

who's to say that, both NOW & OWO take control, and then it's the battle between them that is actually WWIII ?
