Irish featherweight prospect Bernard Dunne came through the toughest test so far of his 14 fight career he edged out Adrian Valdez over 10 rounds at the Aldrich Arena in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Both fighters were cut in a bloody battle but Dunne was favoured on three judges cards, albeit close by 96-94, 96-95 and 97-93. Dunne is now 14-0-(8), while Valdez drops to 14-3-3-(6).
