Back in his Melbourne home two weeks after his July 18 win over Raymond Joval to secure the IBF No.1 middleweight ranking, "King" Sam Soliman (pictured right) watched a television replay of his impressive performance with pride, but was disappointed with one aspect of the fight. "The cameras didn't show the butterfly kicks I did in the middle of the ring after the knockdown," laughed Soliman, a former kick-boxer. "I loved that fight and had an absolute ball."

The 30 year-old dominated from the opening bell and had Joval down in round 4. It was a near shut out performance from promoter Dan Goossen's latest signing with the judges scoring the fight for the Australian 120-107, 120-107 and 119-108. "There is nothing I would change about the fight and I have never said that before," he said. "I would not change a single thing. I thought it would be harder, when you think that we were fighting for the No.1 ranking in the world."
