Boxing: RICKY HATTON: 'I'm in my prime - I DEMAND prime fights'

Money. Fame. Respect. To most, two out of three isn’t that bad. For Ricky Hatton, the part that is missing is what he desires the most.

“I’ve made a lot of money, I have the wins, I have the fans,” Hatton explained to FightWorld during an exclusive interview. “But I need the big fights. I need the top fighters now, while I’m still in my prime.”

No fewer than two significant fights await him in the near future, most prominent being a shot at WBA 140 lb champion ‘Vicious’ Vivian Harris. The fight makes sense – and cents – as Harris is willing to fight in England and in October, and Hatton has recently been appointed as Harris’ mandatory challenger.
