Boxing: Flores confident against feared Thai in WBO bid

Filipino Rexon Flores is expected to face an uphill battle when he challenges for the World Boxing Organization Asia Pacific flyweight crown against Thailand's Aree Phosuwungym in Parañaque City. on July 21.

Flores, who will be taking part in his first title fight, will be put in a virtual litmus test against Aree, a credentialed former amateur gold medallist in Thailand who is a stablemate of WBO bantam king Ratanachai Sor Vorapin.

Flores versus Phosuwungym co-headlines the "Final Encounter" card being put up by promoter Gabriel "Bebot" Elorde Jr under Elorde International Productions.
