Salford southpaw Jamie Moore will seek medical treatment today for the hip injury which cost him the Commonwealth Light Middleweight Title at the King's Hall, Belfast, Saturday night pic by Mr Will .
The 25-year-old originally injured his left hip in sparring two weeks ago, and couldn't train for five days because of the pain. However, all championship level fighters think they are invincible and Moore foolishly elected not to withdraw from a dangerous fight with Commonwealth Welterweight Champion Ossie Duran. That mistake cost him dearly, as the hip gave out in round two and, a sitting target, Moore was blasted to a concussive defeat in round three.
"I'm pissed off with myself," Moore told SecondsOut at Belfast City Airport on Sunday morning. "I did the hip a few weeks ago and couldn't train but I felt alright. There was nothing broken and I though I'd be alright for the fight."
