Boxing: REID READY FOR TITLE SHOWDOWN

Robin Reid believes his title showdown with Brian Magee will give him the chance to prove he is amongst the best super-middleweights in the world.

The Runcorn fighter takes on the current IBO champion in Belfast on Saturday as he looks to re-establish himself on the world scene.

Reid missed out on the IBF belt last December when he lost out to German Sven Ottke on a controversial points decision.

However the 33-year-old believes his experiences in the ring will prove the key to victory over Irishman Magee.
