Boxing: Williams ready for challenge of lifetime

Danny Williams will fly out to New York this Sunday to sign for the biggest fight of his life - against former two-time world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. A press conference was expected this week but, even though the fight is now a done deal, it was decided to postpone the photocall until Tuesday.

A purse of £450,000 has been reported in the British press but I understand Williams will make rather less than that; he is taking the Tyson fight because he believes he can beat this faded, probably disinterested version of the monster who ruled the division back when Top Gun was the most popular flick at the cinema.
